Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimo Padalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Leroy Rose enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leroy Rose!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padalski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rose pinned against the cage. Rose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Padalski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Padalski moves into full mount! Rose won't be happy about that!
Rose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Padalski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Padalski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rose has worked his arm free - good work by Rose!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Padalski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rose ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rose's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Rose is squirming around, avoiding Padalski's attempts to control the action.

Padalski is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rose has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rose!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rose missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Padalski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rose defends it easily.

Rose got a little sloppy there for a moment and Padalski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rose has managed to get both his arms back between Padalski's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Padalski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rose is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Rose tries to pull guard but Padalski holds him up against the cage and eventually Rose drops back down to his feet.

Padalski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Padalski trying to keep a closed guard but Rose is proving a slippery customer.
Rose wants to control from the top but Padalski keeps moving.

Padalski is pulling down on Rose's head. It's preventing any offense from Rose, at least for the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rose throws a leg kick but Padalski sees it coming and moves out of range.

Padalski throws a hook but Rose avoids it easily.

Padalski is trying to drag Rose to the mat but Rose just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Padalski has Rose pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Padalski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rose tumbling to the mat - Padalski dives into Rose's guard.
Padalski wants to pass the guard but Rose is keeping the position.
Rose is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Padalski is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Padalski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
