The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xanthopoulous Xvii uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nix.
Xanthopoulous Xvii shoots for a double leg takedown but Nix sprawls well. He's pushed Xanthopoulous Xvii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nix misses with a wild body shot.

Xanthopoulous Xvii will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Xydorn Xanthopoulous Xvii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nix leaves Xanthopoulous Xvii with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Nix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Xydorn Xanthopoulous Xvii's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
