The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A punch lands to the side of Bernard 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Diokles Bernard has been cut.
Kirkland dives in and grabs Bernard 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bernard pushes down on Kirkland's head and hops out.
Bernard feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kirklands jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kirkland throws a right hand that Bernard ducks under and follows up with a left that Bernard also avoids with ease.

Kirkland connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bernard 's hands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Kirkland, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kirkland on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bernard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kirkland might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Bernard lands a big head kick that sends Kirkland tumbling to the mat! Bernard takes a step backwards and waves Kirkland back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kirkland walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bernard .
Bernard scores with a kick to the body.
Bernard lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bernard throws a leg kick which misses Kirkland's front leg but catches the back leg as Kirkland tries to avoid it.
Bernard scores with a jab. Kirkland acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kirkland is still on wobbly legs! Can Bernard finish him?
