The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tayson dives in and grabs Karelin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Karelin pushes down on Tayson's head and hops out.

Tayson lands a left and a right that sends Karelin crashing to the canvas! Tayson dives into mount looking to finish!

It looks like Aleksandr Karelin has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Karelin tries to improve his position but instead Tayson has taken his back!
Karelin tries to roll but Tayson sticks to his back.
Karelin just trying to survive but Tayson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Tayson is looking to control Karelin but Karelin is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Tayson controlling well, preventing Karelin from escaping the position.
Tayson is looking to stand but he's in a difficult position to do so.
Karelin really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Tayson's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Tayson decides to stand up, even though he's got his opponent's back.
Karelin dives in and grabs Tayson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tayson pushes down on Karelin's head and hops out.
Tayson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karelin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tayson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Karelin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Karelin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tayson pinned against the cage. Tayson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksandr Karelin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Karelin is breathing heavily.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Tayson! Karelin is backing up but he can't get away as Tayson lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Karelin and ends the fight. Great knockout.
