Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bloggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamison McGowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGowen has chosen Tomoyasu Hotei - Battle Without Honor Or Humanity as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloggs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGowen.
McGowen lands a body shot.
McGowen throws a jab when Bloggs was well out of range.
Bloggs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jamison McGowen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bloggs dives in and grabs McGowen's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGowen pushes down on Bloggs's head and hops out.
McGowen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
McGowen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bloggs on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
McGowen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bloggs tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Donk. Bloggs catches McGowen right on the button with a cross.
McGowen throws a jab but it's blocked by Bloggs.
Bloggs connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McGowen's hands.
Bloggs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McGowen defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bloggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bloggs moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bloggs. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
No joy there for McGowen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bloggs throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGowen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bloggs shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McGowen eats them both and turns towards Bloggs to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

McGowen looks to score with a jab to the body but Bloggs is just out of range.
McGowen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bloggs doesn't seem bothered though.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bloggs has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McGowen uses from the top position.
