The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dumas moves into range and clinches up with Austin.

Austin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Austin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Austin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dumas's guard.

Austin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dumas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dumas can't keep his opponent in guard - Austin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dumas gets back to full guard.
Austin chips away with some ground and pound.
Dumas throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Dumas is looking to sinch up a triangle. Austin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dumas's body to avoid the submission. Dumas has instead reached around Austin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dumas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Con Dumas!
