The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellstrom defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bilko.
Bilko just misses with a punch to the body.
Bilko throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Hellstrom uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bilko has time to react.
Bilko jabs Hellstrom right on the nose. Hellstrom blinks but takes it well.

Hellstrom drops his hands momentarily and Bilko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bilko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bilko looks to land a right hand but Hellstrom moved out of range.

Hellstrom throws a right hand that Bilko ducks under and follows up with a left that Bilko also avoids with ease.

Hellstrom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bilko was well out of range. Poor timing from Hellstrom.
The fighters circling - Hellstrom throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bilko throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bilko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hellstrom is breathing heavily.
Hellstrom takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bilko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hellstrom. That did some damage!

Bilko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hellstrom is trying to defend but Bilko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bilko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bilko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bilko is keen to just control but Hellstrom is a slippery customer.
Bilko scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bilko winds up and cracks Hellstrom with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bilko is looking to take a break and control but Hellstrom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hellstrom is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bilko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hellstrom is looking to escape.
Bilko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
