The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks to clinch

Jones moves to clinch but Al Kassar breaks away
and Al Kassar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Al Kassar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jones tries to clinch but Al Kassar is having none of it.
Al Kassar walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Al Kassar attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jones is looking to clinch but Al Kassar is avoiding it.

Al Kassar tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Al Kassar walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Al Kassar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Al Kassar paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Al Kassar misses with a low kick.
Jones catches Al Kassar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Monzer Al Kassar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Al Kassar instigates a clinch.

Al Kassar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Al Kassar tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones moves in looking to clinch but Al Kassar pushes him off.
Al Kassar looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jones wants to clinch up but Al Kassar keeps it at a distance.
Al Kassar throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Al Kassar can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Al Kassar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Al Kassar is retaining full guard.
Al Kassar is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jones pushes down on Al Kassar's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jones is looking to advance position but Al Kassar won't allow it.

Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Al Kassar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jones throws a strike but Al Kassar avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Al Kassar looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Al Kassar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Al Kassar!

Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
