Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelly Gomaco!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gomaco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Raymond is in Gomaco's guard.
Raymond throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gomaco works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gomaco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Raymond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gomaco on the ground.
Well, if Gomaco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gomaco moves nicely into side control.
Gomaco is trying to get an arm triangle but Raymond is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raymond is looking to reverse the position.
Raymond can't do much from the bottom here.
Raymond looks to move to half guard but instead Gomaco has passed into mount! Damn!

Raymond on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Raymond tries to get out of the position.

Gomaco looking to secure an arm triangle but Raymond defends it well.
Gomaco is landing with some decent strikes but Raymond is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Raymond has left one of his arms exposed and Gomaco doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Raymond screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
