The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maloney throws a shot from downtown. Krueger moves away and avoids it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Krueger.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Krueger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maloney has escaped the position, nice work there.
Krueger tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Krueger has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Maloney throws the kick towards the body but Krueger avoids it.

Maloney clinches.
Maloney is trying to pull guard but Krueger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Maloney prevents the takedown attempt.

Maloney misses with a head kick.
Maloney misses with a takedown attempt - Krueger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Krueger scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Krueger is working for a submission of some sort.
Krueger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Maloney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krueger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krueger throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Krueger is working Maloney over with some ground and pound from side control.
Krueger has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Maloney!

Krueger lands a big shot there that rocks Maloney but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maloney takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Krueger's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
