The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blub lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Basaev backs up against the cage.
Basaev closes the distance and clinches up with Blub, looking for a takedown. Basaev pushes Blub against the cage but Blub circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Blub throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Basaev.
Basaev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Basaev takes one on the button.
Nice body kick from Blub.

Blub throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Basaev fails with a takedown attempt.
Bla Blub seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Basaev blocks the leg kick.
