Bastiat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rock defends it nicely.

Rock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rock throws a right hand that Bastiat ducks under and follows up with a left that Bastiat also avoids with ease.
Bastiat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rock avoids it really well and circles away.
Rock misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bastiat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
