The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez misses with a right hand
and McCarthy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sanchez lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
McCarthy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sanchez throws a hook to the side of McCarthy's head but McCarthy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good standup being displayed there by Sanchez as he connects with a hook.
Sanchez explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
McCarthy lands a slapping body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Xavier Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez throws a leg kick which misses McCarthy's front leg but catches the back leg as McCarthy tries to avoid it.
Nice uppercut there from Sanchez.
McCarthy lands a leg kick that knocks Sanchez off balance momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanchez. McCarthy does a little dance to reset his feet.
McCarthy looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range.
A head kick misses from Sanchez.

Sanchez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McCarthy's head.
Sanchez thows a left - swing and a miss!
McCarthy misses with a takedown attempt - Sanchez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. McCarthy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sanchez misses with a wild body shot.
Sanchez throws a monster overhand right that drops McCarthy! Sanchez follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
