The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levanen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Levanen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Michaels's guard.
Levanen wants to stand but Michaels has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Michaels is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Levanen is controlling him.

Michaels manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Levanen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Michaels throws a hook to the side of Levanen's head but Levanen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Levanen wants to take the fight to the mat but Michaels manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Michaels lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Levanen circles away quickly and effectively.

Michaels slaps away a takedown attempt from Levanen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Levanen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Michaels fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Levanen manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michaels cracks Levanen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Levanen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck for Levanen with that takedown attempt.
Levanen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Michaels defends it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Michaels misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Levanen.
Michaels rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Levanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Levanen shoots in looking for a takedown. Michaels tries to sprawl out of it but Levanen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michaels manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Levanen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Michaels defends it nicely.
Levanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Michaels tries to avoid it but Levanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Michaels to the ground. Michaels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jynkka Levanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Michaels sends Levanen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Michaels is motioning to the referee to let Levanen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Jynkka Levanen has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Michaels turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Michaels throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Michaels.
Michaels bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

A combination from Michaels does no damage.
Michaels walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Levanen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Michaels swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Levanen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
