Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cunnigham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cunnigham has chosen Jeremy as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Cartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Cunnigham!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cartman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cunnigham.
Cunnigham showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cartman.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cartman. Cunnigham does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cartman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cunnigham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cunnigham lands strikes from half guard.
Cartman wants to get back to his feet.
Cunnigham is looking to take a break and control but Cartman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cartman tries to kick Cunnigham off but Cunnigham keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cunnigham is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cunnigham lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cunnigham lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Cunnigham scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Cunnigham is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cartman is trying to stand back up but Cunnigham is controlling him
Cunnigham looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cartman taking some punishment here, with Cunnigham in his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cunnigham works his foot free and advances to mount.

Cunnigham is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cartman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cartman shrugs it off.
Cartman takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cunnigham scoring with strikes but Cartman is staying in there.
Cunnigham scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cartman?
Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cunnigham on the ground.
Cunnigham looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Cunnigham with shots to the head and body - Cartman looks very uncomfortable down there.


Cartman is rocked!
Cunnigham looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Cartman covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
