Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny DeVito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Spirit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spirit has chosen Nujabes - Feather as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny DeVito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JT Spirit!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVito darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
DeVito closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spirit circles away.

DeVito shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spirit's guard.
DeVito pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spirit is keeping the position for now.
Spirit tries to land a sweep but no joy.
DeVito will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
DeVito takes a decent strike to the side of the head.

DeVito wants to pass the guard but Spirit is keeping the position.
DeVito pushing down on Spirit's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Spirit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
DeVito fails with an attempt to clinch.
Danny DeVito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DeVito connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

DeVito shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. DeVito showed some decent athleticism there.
Spirit is not content to let DeVito control the position.
Spirit flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

DeVito is looking for a kimura but Spirit is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DeVito to get the leverage.
Spirit wants to control but DeVito is keeping busy and won't allow it.
DeVito seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spirit does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
DeVito is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Spirit slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

DeVito is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spirit doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time DeVito.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeVito is breathing heavily.
Spirit regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

DeVito is posturing up here but Spirit has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! DeVito tries to roll out but it's too tight and DeVito has to tap! Slick submission there by Spirit!
