The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rod getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Blackmore shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blackmore with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rod connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Blackmore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rod.
Blackmore moves away from the strike by Rod.
Rod scores with a hook to the body. Blackmore takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Rod throws a series of punches but Blackmore moves out of range.

Rod drops Blackmore with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Blackmore looks back up at him and smiles so Rod waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Rod lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Blackmore - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Rod!
