Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodor Maresio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Price might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Not Afraid. Theodor Maresio has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Thomas Price's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Theodor Maresio!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Price drops Maresio with a left and a right! Oh, Maresio is hurt - Price dives into side control looking to finish!


Maresio is rocked!


It looks like Theodor Maresio has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Price goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Maresio has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Price but great work by Maresio.
Maresio is still in real trouble! Can Price finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maresio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Price regains half guard.

Maresio seems to have recovered his senses.

Price throws a head kick but Maresio moves out of range.

Maresio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Price swivels and escapes.

Price misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maresio fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Maresio misses with a few strikes there.
Maresio tries to clinch but Price moves out of range.
Price throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maresio lands with a kick to the temple. Price shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Price dodges the punch combination from Maresio.
Maresio tries for a takedown but Price sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maresio looks gassed!
Maresio moves out of range of the strikes.
Maresio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Price paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Price lands a jab to Maresio's midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Price fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Maresio checks it well.
Price dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maresio ducks under a wild hook from Price.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maresio misses with a series of wild punches.
Price takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Price scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maresio doesn't seem bothered though.
Price connects with a nice looking jab.
Maresio keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Price.
Maresio avoids a kick to the body.
Maresio blocks a leg kick.
Price misses with a hook. Maresio ducked under it nicely.

Maresio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Price. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Price is trying to escape the mount.
Price sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Price wants to control but Maresio is keeping busy.

Maresio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Price keeps working.

Maresio is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Price makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Price.
Price tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Maresio tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Price looks for a takedown but Maresio sprawls well.
Price throws a right hand that misses
and Maresio counters with an outside leg kick.
No luck for Maresio with that takedown attempt.

Maresio closes the distance and pushes Price back into the cage.

Maresio with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Price has Maresio pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Maresio manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Maresio pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Price bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Price drops Maresio with a left and a right! Oh, Maresio is hurt - Price dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Maresio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Maresio sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Price seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maresio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Maresio is looking to control Price's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Maresio avoid being mounted?
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Price stalling away here and it's allowed Maresio to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Maresio is wriggling around but Price manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Price works his foot free and advances to mount.
Price punching from mount but Maresio doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Maresio is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Maresio tries to buck Price off but Price takes his back!
Maresio just trying to survive but Price is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Price is landing with strikes from the back.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Price is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maresio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Price lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maresio has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maresio and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Maresio tries to land a front kick but Price steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Maresio moves out of range of the body kick.
Price bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Price connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Price stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maresio.
Price tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maresio swivels and escapes.
Maresio lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Maresio gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Price to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maresio is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maresio takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Price looking to pass the guard.
Maresio looking for a sweep. Not yet Maresio, not yet.

Thomas Price has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Price shoots in for a takedown but Maresio shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Price. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Price throws an overhand right that lands on Maresio's shoulder, as Maresio tries to avoid the shot.
Maresio buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Maresio showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Price.
Price shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maresio pinned against the cage. Maresio gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Maresio moves away from the strike by Price.
Price lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Price shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Maresio is desperately trying to improve his position but Price has a good base and remains in mount.
Thomas Price overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Price with a couple of short strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maresio is in all sorts of trouble here.
Maresio tries to hold on but Price postures up.
Price pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Price throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price tries to control but Maresio wriggling away.
Maresio slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Price wants to work for an arm triangle but Maresio is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Thomas Price showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Price, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Thomas Price decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
