Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pistachio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pistachio misses with an uppercut.
Pistachio tries to clinch there but Martin circles away.
Pistachio throws a jab but it's blocked by Martin.
Martin digs a good hook to Pistachio's body.
James Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pistachio connects with a right hand. Martin shakes it off.

It looks like James Martin has been cut.
Pistachio lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pistachio.
Pistachio scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Martin doesn't seem bothered though.

Martin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pistachio, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee calls for Martin to work.
Pistachio gets through Martin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Martin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pistachio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pistachio turns into Martin and is now in his guard.
Martin wants to sweep here but Pistachio controlling him for the moment.

Martin kicks Pistachio off and gets to his feet.

Pistachio comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Martin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pistachio's head.
Martin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pistachio lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Martin circles away quickly and effectively.
Martin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Pistachio tries to clinch but Martin is having none of it.
Pistachio works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pistachio lands a jab to Martin's midsection.
Martin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pistachio waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Martin. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Martin to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Martin is still in real trouble! Can Pistachio finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pistachio passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Pistachio cracks Martin with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Pistachio immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Martin is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Pistachio!
