The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Schulz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rose doesn't seem phased though.
Schulz lands a nice looking body shot.
Schulz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schulz wants it to stay on the feet.
Rose fails with a takedown attempt.
Rose slips a jab and a cross from Schulz.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rose tries for a takedown but Schulz circles away easily
and Schulz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Schulz stuns Rose with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Rose takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Rose takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Rose is rocked!
Schulz digs a good hook to Rose's body.
Oh Rose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schulz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A lazy left from Schulz finds it's target.
Rose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Schulz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rose manages to avoid it.
Schulz takes a swing at Rose's ribcage but misses.
A slow jab from Schulz misses its intended target.
Rose shoots in but no luck this time.
Schulz swings for the body but Rose moves out of range.
Schulz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rose closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schulz circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schulz, as that shot connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schulz was well out of range. Poor timing from Rose.
Cody Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schulz circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Rose to the canvas! Rose doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Schulz keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
