Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Monsignor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ratt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Country boy can survive. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsignor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hughes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hughes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Monsignor is looking to escape.
Monsignor manages to get to full guard.

Hughes tries to score with some ground and pound. Monsignor controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hughes cracks Monsignor with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jeez, Herbert Monsignor's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Herbert Monsignor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
