Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taisto Tappura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Man D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying D's choice of entrance music: The Prodigy - Firestarter. Man D has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D misses with a body punch
and Tappura counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
D throws a right hand that Tappura ducks under and follows up with a left that Tappura also avoids with ease.
D finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tappura jabs D to the body, keeping him at a distance.
D tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tappura was well out of range. Poor timing from D.
Tappura scores with a head kick. D tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Tappura is looking to score with low kicks.
Tappura tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tappura throws a sloppy head kick and D moves out of range easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tappura clobbers D with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

D stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tappura.
D looks gassed!
D takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tappura ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
D takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tappura looks to land a combination but D avoids it well.
Tappura is looking to wear down D with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Tappura lands a nice leg kick that just misses D's sensitive parts.

Good leg kick by Tappura there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tappura throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck D on the side of the head.

Tappura lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tappura thumps D with a low kick.
Tappura thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on D if he has to take too many more of those.

Tappura feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends D sprawling to the canvas! D rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tappura finish him?!

D is rocked!

It looks like Man D has been cut.
Tappura cracks a nice hook into D's ribs.

Tappura drops D with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but D looks back up at him and smiles so Tappura waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
D is still on wobbly legs! Can Tappura finish him?
Tappura lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tappura is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Tappura lands a leg kick that knocks D off balance momentarily.
D seems to have recovered his senses.

D's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Tappura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but D circles away quickly and effectively.
Tappura throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

A jab from Tappura does it's job there.
D throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tappura sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tappura lands a left and a right that send D crashing to the mat, dazed. Tappura thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

D takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Tappura fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches D on the side of the head.

Tappura moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
D tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Taisto Tappura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tappura fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. D looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Tappura lands a big head kick that sends D tumbling to the mat! Tappura takes a step backwards and waves D back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tappura drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks D right on the button. D goes down! Tappura follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Tappura gets the win via TKO!
