PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murray Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guy comes to the cage accompanied by Mother. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murray Hewitt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewitt stalks Guy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guy's face. Guy staggers backwards, shaken.
Hewitt misses with a jab to the body
and Guy counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Murray Hewitt has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Guy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hewitt manages to avoid it.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Guy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Hewitt cracks Guy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Horrible takedown by Guy or perhaps it was just good defense by Hewitt which made him look bad.
Guy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hewitt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hewitt sends Guy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hewitt is motioning to the referee to let Guy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hewitt drops Guy with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Guy looks back up at him and smiles so Hewitt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Guy dives in and grabs Hewitt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hewitt pushes down on Guy's head and hops out.
Hewitt cracks Guy with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Guy tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hewitt pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Guy is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
