The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halonen moves in looking to clinch but Ortiz pushes him off.

Halonen closes the distance and pushes Ortiz back into the cage.

Ortiz has gone for a leg lock! Halonen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ortiz's guard.

Ortiz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Halonen can pounce on him.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ortiz.

Halonen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ortiz.
Ortiz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Halonen avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fifo Ortiz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
