The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley tries to clinch but Oliveira moves away
and Oliveira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oliveira circles away.
Oliveira defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Riley.
Oliveira throws a big shot that misses.
Riley throws a head kick that misses.
Riley lands with a nice body punch.
Oliveira blocks a head kick by Riley.
Riley misses with a looping right.
Riley throws a leg kick but Oliveira moved away.

Riley drives through and clinches with Oliveira against the cage.

Riley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Oliveira looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oliveira uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Riley.
Oliveira throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely.
Riley wants to slow Oliveira down by chopping away at his legs.
Riley misses with a body kick.
Oliveira lunges at Riley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Riley's hand.
Riley doesn't manage to clinch there - Oliveira circles away.
Riley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marcus Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliveira looks to throw the jab but Riley is out of range.

Riley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Oliveira is trying to defend but Riley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Riley is working for a kimura but Oliveira is defending it quite comfortably.

Oliveira kicks off Riley and gets to his feet.

Oliveira stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oliveira wants it to stay on the feet.

Riley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Oliveira takes a swing at Riley's ribcage but misses.

and Oliveira cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Riley moves in looking to clinch but Oliveira pushes him off.
Riley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oliveira sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riley somewhat.

and Oliveira makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marcus Riley seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Riley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Oliveira's guard.

Riley drops back looking for a leg! Oliveira is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oliveira manages to kick Riley off! Riley jumps back into Oliveira's guard.
Riley wants to pass the guard but Oliveira is keeping the position.

Riley has gone for a leg lock! Oliveira slips out almost immediately though and dives into Riley's guard.

Riley is looking for a triangle but Oliveira pushes his legs off easily.

Riley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oliveira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Riley pushes a forearm under Oliveira's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Oliveira is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
