Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gold misses with a wild combination.
Gold thuds his shin into the meat of Santos's side.
Santos misses with a series of wild punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gold checks the leg kick nicely there.

Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gold counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Santos!
BOOM! Gold connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Santos is in a horrible position here. Gold smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gold pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Santos is rocked!
It looks like Jerome Santos has been cut.
Gold landing strikes from the mount and Santos is in trouble!
Oh Santos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gold tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Santos seems to have got his legs back now.
Santos tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Gold jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Santos manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gold is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Santos.

Gold feints and as Santos raises his hands in defense, Gold changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Santos wants to improve his position but Gold is controlling well.
Gold seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Gold tries to stand but can't do so whilst Santos controls his leg.

Gold distracts Santos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gold makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Santos has gone for a leg lock! Gold slips out almost immediately though and dives into Santos's guard.
Gold postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Santos wants to stand but Gold is controlling the position.
Gold must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.

Santos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Santos has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gold has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Santos has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Gold is defending well but eventually Santos manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Gold has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
