Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kolohe Hakoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakoa comes into the arena with Ol Dirty Bastard - Snakes blaring out of the sound system. Ken Li struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ken Li has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kolohe Hakoa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kolohe Hakoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Li!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hakoa darts in and clinches Li up against the cage.
Li missing with knees to the body.

It looks like Kolohe Hakoa has been cut.
Li has Hakoa pressed against the cage, preventing Hakoa from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Li's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Hakoa trying to stall but Li improves his position.

Li escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hakoa takes one to the side of the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ken Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Li tries to clinch up but Hakoa circles away and keeps his distance.

Li lands with a good body shot.

Li has closed the distance and engaged Hakoa in a clinch.
Hakoa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Li fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hakoa slips a jab and a cross from Li.

Kolohe Hakoa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Li slaps away a takedown attempt from Hakoa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Li looks to throw the jab but Hakoa is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Li clinches up with Hakoa and pushes him back against the cage.
Hakoa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Li gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hakoa jumps guard but Li turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Li pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Li lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hakoa circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hakoa shoots in and drives through. Li sprawls well.

Hakoa takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
