Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Noonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hairik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noonan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 3DD - Kryptonite. Hunt has chosen If You're Gonna Be Dumb as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Noonan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Hairik Hunt!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt walks forward, straight into a front kick from Noonan.
Noonan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hunt throws a leg kick but Noonan sees it coming and moves out of range.
Noonan tries to clinch
and Hunt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hunt throws a looping overhand right but Noonan ducks down to avoid it.
Hunt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A big left from Hunt misses.
Hunt ducks right into an uppercut from Noonan.
Noonan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hunt takes a step back to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Noonan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Michael Noonan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Noonan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunt avoids it really well and circles away.

Noonan closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hunt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Noonan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Noonan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Noonan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunt is looking to escape.
Hunt avoids a series of strikes thrown by Noonan.

Noonan looking for a guillotine from mount but Hunt is having none of it.

Noonan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hunt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hunt shrugs it off.
Hunt is squirming around, avoiding Noonan's attempts to control the action.

Noonan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Noonan goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hunt is on top in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Noonan holds on and takes a little breather.
Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Noonan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hunt content to stall in guard here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt tries to stand but Noonan is controlling from the bottom.
Hunt is fighting to break Noonan's control of his arms but Noonan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Noonan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Noonan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hunt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hunt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Noonan is trying to keep Hunt in close.
Hunt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Noonan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Noonan wants to sweep here but Hunt controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Noonan pushes Hunt off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Noonan takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Michael Noonan has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hunt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Noonan throws out the jab.
Noonan throws a hook but Hunt blocks it.
Hunt lands with a good body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Noonan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hunt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Noonan connects with a body shot that sends Hunt's belly button to the back.
Noonan throws a chopping leg kick but Hunt manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hunt with a nice cross.
A bone on bone clash there as Hunt blocks the leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.
Hunt moves out of range as Noonan throws a body kick.

Noonan clinches up with Hunt and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Noonan will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Michael Noonan's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A slapping leg kick lands for Hunt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hunt.
Hunt throws the left hand but Noonan avoids the punch easily.
Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hunt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Noonan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Noonan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hairik Hunt seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hunt lands a jab.

Hunt throws a right hand that misses
and Noonan counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hunt tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hunt blocks a low kick nicely.
Noonan misses with a body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hunt tries a head kick but it misses.
Hunt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Noonan moves out of range of the body kick from Hunt.
Noonan throws a low kick, looking for Hunt's leg but Hunt calmly moves out of range.
Noonan feints and then cracks Hunt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hunt down.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Noonan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hunt's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Noonan prevents Hunt from getting back to his feet.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Noonan controls the pace.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Noonan from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Noonan.
Noonan ducks under a wild hook from Hunt.

Noonan has closed the distance and engaged Hunt in a clinch.

Noonan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Noonan connects with a leg kick. Hunt looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Hunt fails to land with a series of punches.
Hairik Hunt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hunt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hairik Hunt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunt takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Hunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunt wants it to stay on the feet.
Hunt misses with the body kick
and Noonan counters with an outside leg kick.
Hunt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Noonan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Hunt misses the target.
Hunt checks a leg kick nicely.
Hunt takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hunt tries to land a leg kick but Noonan saw it coming and moves away.
Hunt lands a jab to the nose.


Michael Noonan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hunt misses with a hook.
Noonan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Noonan moves away from the strike by Hunt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Noonan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hunt counters with a stiff right hand.
Hunt scores with a punch to the head.


Jeez, Michael Noonan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Michael Noonan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hairik Hunt!
Hairik Hunt is the new heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Hairik Hunt thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
