Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tempa T (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Carbide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carbide has chosen Raised In The Projects as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
T throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carbide's waist but Carbide gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing T off to one side.

Tempa T seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
T shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carbide but Carbide pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as T accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

T feints and as Carbide raises his hands in defense, T changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carbide really doesn't want to stay on the ground with T. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

T shoots for a double leg takedown but Carbide sprawls well. He's pushed T's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
T changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carbide tries to avoid it but T manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carbide to the ground. Carbide escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carbide controls T momentarily but T frees himself.
T is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carbide can do anything to dispel that myth.
T makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Tempa T will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. T connects with a nice short shot to Carbide's temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carbide will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
