Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gumby Pokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carvalho might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Notorious BIG - Victory. Matheus Carvalho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho throws a front kick that sends Pokey stumbling back into the cage.
A combination from Pokey does no damage.

Carvalho gets a clinch.
Pokey throws an elbow that misses.
Carvalho presses Pokey against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Pokey wants a takedown.
A short right from Carvalho.
Pokey wants to take the fight to the mat but Carvalho manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Carvalho lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Pokey goes for a takedown in the clinch but Carvalho prevents it.
Matheus Carvalho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gumby Pokey.
Pokey looks gassed!
Carvalho works on Pokey's body with a couple of short punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carvalho has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pokey clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Carvalho lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Carvalho has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Pokey.
Carvalho is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Pokey. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Pokey is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Carvalho gets his way!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pokey gets cracked with a huge elbow and he's out cold! Possibly KO of the night from the back? Unusual but possible!
