The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a looping overhand right but Colslaw ducks down to avoid it.

Colslaw feints and then cracks Thompson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thompson down.

Colslaw throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Thompson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Colslaw holds on and takes a little breather.

Colslaw sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thompson's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that John Thompson will probably get the nod.

Good leg kick by Colslaw there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Colslaw rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thompson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thompson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Colslaw tries to avoid it but Thompson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Colslaw to the ground. Colslaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
