The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Rey stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maccarone.
Del Rey throws a right and a left that Maccarone avoids nicely.
Maccarone connects with a leg kick. Del Rey looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That kick from Maccarone tenderised Del Rey's leg. Del Rey is trying to keep his angry face on.
Maccarone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Del Rey moves away.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Maccarone, right into the meat.
Maccarone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maccarone dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Del Rey. That did some damage!
Maccarone takes a swing at Del Rey's ribcage but misses.
Del Rey defending well as Maccarone loads up on a big left hand.
Maccarone throws a head kick but Del Rey moves out of range.
Maccarone explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Maccarone throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Manu Del Rey has been cut.
Maccarone misses with a wild combination.
A nice leg kick lands there from Maccarone.
Both fighters circling a little - Maccarone finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Maccarone! Del Rey is out on his feet! Maccarone rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Del Rey is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Del Rey is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
