The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Goo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Diaz gets a clinch.

Diaz has picked Goo up - he's going for a ride! Diaz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Diaz stands up out of the half guard.
Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Diaz connects with a body shot that sends Goo's belly button to the back.

Diaz clinches up with Goo and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Diaz manages to break the clinch.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz stands up out of the half guard.

Goo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Goo is working an open guard so Diaz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Tubba Goo has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diaz throws a nice inside leg kick.
Goo avoids the head kick by Diaz.
Goo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ralph Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Diaz dives in and scores a takedown into Goo's guard.

Diaz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Diaz gets to his feet - Goo follows without any prompting.
Goo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Diaz moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Goo! Diaz continues to tee off on Goo, landing with a left and a right! Diaz connects with a right hand that leaves Goo sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Diaz!
