The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takamura.

Patterson Jr closes the distance and clinches.

Patterson Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Takamura jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Patterson Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Patterson Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Takamura cracks Patterson Jr with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Takamura has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Patterson Jr to stand back up!

It looks like Anthony Patterson Jr has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Patterson Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Takamura misses with a jab, cross combination.
Patterson Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takamura swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Patterson Jr slips a jab from Takamura.
Takamura cracks Patterson Jr with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Patterson Jr tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Takamura pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Patterson Jr is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
