Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Larusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inyo Mahmi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mahmi's choice of entrance music: Burning Season. Inyo Mahmi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahmi lands a slapping body shot.
Larusso misses with a double jab
and Mahmi counters with a body kick that stops Larusso in his tracks momentarily.
Mahmi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mahmi throws a hook but Larusso avoids it easily.
Mahmi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Larusso needs to keep his hands up - Mahmi had a free shot at his head there.

Mahmi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Larusso.
Larusso tries to clinch there but Mahmi circles away.
Larusso takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Larusso moves forwards but Mahmi connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Mahmi shoots for a takedown but Larusso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Larusso wants to sweep but no luck.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Inyo Mahmi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Larusso tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mahmi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Larusso somewhat.
Larusso shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mahmi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Larusso thinking.

Mahmi throws a good cross that connects.
Mahmi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mahmi wants to clinch up but Larusso keeps it at a distance.

Larusso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mahmi avoids it really well and circles away.
Mahmi looks to score with a jab to the body but Larusso is just out of range.
Larusso doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mahmi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Larusso rather than just go for the knockout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mahmi. Larusso does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mahmi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Larusso shoots in and drives through. Mahmi sprawls well.
A punch lands to the side of Larusso 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mahmi feints and then cracks Larusso's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Larusso down.

Mahmi rushes Larusso and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Mahmi.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mahmi pushes Larusso against the cage. Mahmi is working some dirty boxing. Mahmi pushes off with a quick right hook! Larusso goes down! Larusso tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Mahmi moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
