Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Lorence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paddy Tyson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shawn Lorence's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tyson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lorence down.

Tyson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Tyson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tyson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lorence should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tyson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tyson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lorence with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tyson connects with a nice short shot to Lorence's temple.

Tyson wants to pass the guard but Lorence is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tyson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tyson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lorence tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tyson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lorence was covering up waiting for the punch and Tyson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lorence is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lorence is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tyson is defending well for now.
Lorence jumps guard but Tyson stands there with Lorence around his waist. Lorence gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lorence is breathing heavily.
Lorence is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tyson is keeping busy.
Lorence using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tyson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Tyson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tyson manages to end up in side control.
Lorence takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tyson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tyson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lorence to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lorence shrugs it off.
