The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lin walks into a stiff left hand from Carol.
Lin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lin misses with an uppercut. Carol saw that one coming.

and Carol connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lin on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Lin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carol manages to avoid it.
Carol uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lin.
Nice shot lands for Lin.

Lin tests Carol's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Lin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Carol's head.

Lin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carol moves away.
Carol uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lin.

Carol tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Carol drops his hands momentarily and Lin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Lin throws out a loose jab but Carol uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carol fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Carol had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Carol displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lin throws out the jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lin. Carol does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Carol counters with a series of strikes. Lin will be more careful next time no doubt.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lin. Carol does a little dance to reset his feet.
Carol comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Carol tries to clinch there but Lin circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carol swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carol is looking to clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Carol goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Carol clinches up against the cage.

Lin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carol's efforts to push away.
Carol has Lin pressed against the cage, preventing Lin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Carol is looking to control Lin's arms but Lin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Carol has his back to the cage.
Lin tries to work over Carol's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Carol keeps control of Lin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Carol misses with a hook to the ribs.

Lin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carol looks to land a combination but Lin avoids it well.

and Carol counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carol slips a straight right by Lin.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carol darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lin thuds his right hand into Carol's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Carol counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lin thinking.
Lin misses with a wild combination.
Lin is breathing heavily.

Carol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Carol backs up against the cage.
Carol ducks under a wild hook from Lin.
Carol throws a series of punches but Lin avoids them all with ease.
Lin feints a jab promting Carol to slip. Lin then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carol slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


Jeez, Kendall Carol's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kendall Carol's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jeremy Lin!
