Pereira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Valentinov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pereira controls Valentinov momentarily but Valentinov frees himself.
Pereira is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Valentinov throwing strikes but missing.

Pereira looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Valentinov is defending well. Pereira quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Valentinov has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pereira celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

After the fight, Marcos Pereira was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
