The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMorrow throws out a loose jab but de Lima uses good head movement to avoid it.
McMorrow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in de Lima's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
de Lima is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
de Lima striking off his back but it's not causing McMorrow any problems.

McMorrow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in de Lima's guard.

de Lima changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McMorrow tries to avoid it but de Lima manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McMorrow to the ground. McMorrow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McMorrow throws an overhand right that lands on de Lima's shoulder, as de Lima tries to avoid the shot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
