The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov misses with a double jab.
Magomedov closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Magomedov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kozlov did well to prevent Magomedov getting side control.

Malik Magomedov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Magomedov shoots in for a takedown but Kozlov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kozlov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kozlov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kozlov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Magomedov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Magomedov shrugs it off.
