Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Stinkstra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Igor Vladimar!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stinkstra shoots in but no luck this time.
Vladimar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stinkstra connects with a leg kick. Vladimar looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vladimar shoots in looking for a takedown but Stinkstra manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vladimar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vladimar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stinkstra sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vladimar tries for a takedown but Stinkstra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Vladimar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It looks like Vladimar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vladimar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stinkstra as he jumps to the side.

Stinkstra tries to get to full guard but Vladimar has control of the leg.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vladimar winds up and cracks Stinkstra with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Vladimar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Vladimar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stinkstra might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vladimar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stinkstra does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Horrible takedown by Vladimar or perhaps it was just good defense by Stinkstra which made him look bad.
Stinkstra leaves Vladimar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Stinkstra throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Vladimar is rocked!
Vladimar wants to stay close but Stinkstra steps back to make room for something. Vladimar seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Stinkstra and Vladimar drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Peter Stinkstra!
