Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Misaaki Satake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaraki has chosen Bleach Opening 3 as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenpachi Zaraki!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaraki throws a head kick that misses.
Satake throws a right hand that Zaraki ducks under and follows up with a left that Zaraki also avoids with ease.

Zaraki moves into range and clinches up with Satake.
Zaraki stops a takedown attempt from Satake.
Satake drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zaraki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Zaraki prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Misaaki Satake. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Satake has Zaraki pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Zaraki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Satake is looking for a sweep. Zaraki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zaraki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Satake defends it well.

Zaraki is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Satake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zaraki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Zaraki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Satake dives on top into guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Zaraki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Satake.

Satake fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zaraki to the ground. Satake is now in Zaraki's guard.

Satake wants to control but Zaraki is keeping him busy.

Satake is looking to take a break and control but Zaraki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zaraki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Satake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Satake can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zaraki is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Satake wants to control the pace but Zaraki is squirming around nicely.

Zaraki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Satake landing strikes from the mount and Zaraki is in trouble!
Satake lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Misaaki Satake dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Zaraki dodges the punch combination from Satake.
Zaraki misses with a few strikes there.
Zaraki is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Zaraki or perhaps it was just good defense by Satake which made him look bad.
Zaraki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zaraki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Satake.
Zaraki closes the distance and clinches up with Satake, looking for a takedown. Zaraki pushes Satake against the ropes but Satake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zaraki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Satake tries to avoid it but Zaraki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Satake to the ground. Satake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Misaaki Satake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenpachi Zaraki.

Satake connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Satake will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Satake scores with the left hand. Zaraki knows he should have avoided that one.
Satake shoots in for a double leg but Zaraki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zaraki lands a leg kick that knocks Satake off balance momentarily.

Kenpachi Zaraki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Zaraki. Those never looked like landing.

and Satake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Zaraki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Satake works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Satake works his way into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Satake throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Satake is staying tight to Zaraki's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Satake lands a decent elbow from side control.

Satake controls the position.
Zaraki gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Satake tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Satake trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zaraki is in a horrible position here. Satake smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Satake controlling the pace for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Misaaki Satake showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Satake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
