PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Grabowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Twist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grabowski comes into the arena with Metallica - Whiskey in the jar blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twist uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grabowski.
Twist throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Twist thows a body shot but no joy.
Twist misses with a takedown attempt - Grabowski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Horrible takedown by Twist or perhaps it was just good defense by Grabowski which made him look bad.

and Grabowski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Grabowski.
Damian Grabowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Twist.

Grabowski could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Twist is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grabowski defends well.
Grabowski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Damian Grabowski.

Grabowski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grabowski showed some decent athleticism there.

Twist looking for submissions off his back.

Twist wants to control but Grabowski is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Twist tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Grabowski has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Twist is desperately trying to improve his position but Grabowski has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grabowski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Twist bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Twist drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Grabowski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Twist has Grabowski in his guard.

Twist is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Grabowski frees his head nicely. Oh but Twist has switched to an armbar! Grabowski is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
