Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rolad Kjeldsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rolad Kjeldsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafael Suez!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kjeldsson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kjeldsson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Suez is looking to clinch.
Kjeldsson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Suez.
Suez moves in looking to clinch but Kjeldsson pushes him off.
Kjeldsson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kjeldsson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A jab from Kjeldsson finds it's way through Suez's defenses.
Kjeldsson lands a head shot.
Suez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kjeldsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kjeldsson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Suez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Suez fails to pull guard.
Kjeldsson is pressed up against the cage. Suez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kjeldsson down to the mat. Kjeldsson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rolad Kjeldsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez.

No joy there for Kjeldsson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Suez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kjeldsson avoids it.
Suez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Suez jumps guard but Kjeldsson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kjeldsson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Suez.

Suez closes the distance and pushes Kjeldsson back into the cage.
Suez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kjeldsson wants to break free but Suez has control.

Suez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kjeldsson smiles and moves away.
Kjeldsson lands a jab to the head.

Kjeldsson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Suez.
Kjeldsson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Suez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kjeldsson smiles and moves away.

Suez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kjeldsson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Suez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kjeldsson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kjeldsson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kjeldsson!

Kjeldsson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kjeldsson is staying tight to Suez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
You can see the frustration on Suez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kjeldsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suez on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Rolad Kjeldsson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Suez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kjeldsson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Suez somewhat.

Kjeldsson feints a jab promting Suez to slip. Kjeldsson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Suez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kjeldsson looks to land a combination. Suez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kjeldsson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Kjeldsson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Suez momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Suez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Suez shoots for a takedown but Kjeldsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kjeldsson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

I would just about give that final round to Rafael Suez.
