Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henry Winkler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winkler comes into the arena with Mortal Kombat blaring out of the sound system. Henry Winkler is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Winkler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chase Rollins!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins moves out of range of the strikes.
Winkler lands a slapping body shot.
Rollins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Winkler swivels and escapes.
Rollins takes a swing at Winkler's ribcage but misses.
Rollins throws a hook but Winkler blocks it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Winkler.
Nice straight punches there by Rollins. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rollins.
Rollins attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rollins throws a looping overhand right but Winkler ducks down to avoid it.

Rollins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Winkler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chase Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rollins throws a shot from downtown. Winkler moves away and avoids it.
Rollins throws the left hand but Winkler avoids the punch easily.
Winkler takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Winkler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Winkler lands a head shot.
A slow jab from Rollins misses its intended target.
Winkler throws a shot from downtown. Rollins moves away and avoids it.

Rollins is looking to score with low kicks.
Winkler checks a leg kick nicely.

Rollins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Winkler napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Winkler wants to control but Rollins postures up.
Rollins in side control, throwing shots but Winkler defends.
Winkler is looking to regain half guard here but Rollins keeps moving and retains side control.
Rollins tries to score with some ground and pound. Winkler controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Rollins postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rollins lands a few punches from side control.
Rollins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Winkler some visible discomfort.

Winkler is not content to let Rollins control the position.
Rollins remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Winkler is looking to reverse the position.
Winkler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rollins.
Winkler can't do much from the bottom here.

Rollins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Winkler is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rollins scores with a couple of short elbows.
Rollins works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Rollins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Winkler keeps working.
Winkler manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are battling for position here. Rollins manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Winkler slips nicely into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rollins wants to improve his position but Winkler is controlling well.
Winkler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rollins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Rollins punishes Winkler's body with a nice straight punch.
Winkler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rollins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Winkler counters with a nice uppercut.
Rollins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Winkler circles away.

Rollins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Winkler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rollins counters with a nice body kick.
Winkler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Rollins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Winkler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Rollins thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rollins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A jab lands there for Rollins.
Winkler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rollins manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rollins. Winkler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rollins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Winkler.

Winkler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rollins is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Winkler leaves Rollins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Henry Winkler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rollins tried to score with a low kick but Winkler checks it.
Winkler drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Winkler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rollins.
Rollins ducks under a wild hook from Winkler.
Rollins does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Rollins fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Winkler on the side of the head.
Winkler avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Winkler chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rollins can pounce on him.

Winkler cracks Rollins with a right hand to the side of the head.
Rollins lands a nice looking kick to the body. Winkler takes a step back to recover.
Winkler throws a right hand that Rollins ducks under and follows up with a left that Rollins also avoids with ease.
Winkler defending well as Rollins loads up on a big left hand.
Winkler moves out of range of the strikes.
Rollins slips a straight right by Winkler.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Rollins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Winkler takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Winkler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rollins was well out of range. Poor timing from Winkler.
Winkler checks the leg kick.
Rollins connects with the punch.
Rollins misses with a straight left.
Rollins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Winkler takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rollins wants to land a leg kick but Winkler is out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Winkler takes a swing at Rollins's ribcage but misses.
Winkler scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rollins slips a straight right by Winkler.
Winkler blocks the body kick.
Winkler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rollins manages to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Winkler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Winkler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rollins has time to react.
Henry Winkler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rollins slips a straight right by Winkler.
Winkler lunges at Rollins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rollins's hand.
Winkler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rollins.
Winkler scores with a sloppy right hand. Rollins should have avoided that one.
Winkler misses with an uppercut

and Rollins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Winkler's guard now.
Rollins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Winkler wants to sweep but no luck.
Winkler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rollins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Winkler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rollins on the ground.
Rollins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chase Rollins wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rollins throws a front kick aimed at Winkler's knee but Winkler avoids it well.

Rollins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rollins.
Rollins connects with a body shot that sends Winkler's belly button to the back.
Winkler misses with a right hand
and Rollins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rollins moves out of range as Winkler strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chase Rollins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rollins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
