Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Prescott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rock Prescott!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prescott misses with a takedown attempt
and Gracie counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gracie is defending against the submission attempts here by Prescott.

Prescott is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Prescott to get the leverage.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Prescott connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple.

Prescott is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Gracie to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Prescott.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie is riding his opponent, not letting Prescott buck him off.

Rock Prescott dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thiago Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Prescott.

and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Prescott is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Prescott!

Prescott is trying to reverse the position but instead Gracie has taken his back - oops!
Prescott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gracie manages to capitalize on a mistake by Prescott to take his back!
Prescott manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gracie's guard. Nice work there by Prescott.

Gracie is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gracie lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gracie lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Prescott looking for a takedown.

Gracie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Gracie misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie tries to throw a body punch but Prescott avoids it by throwing Gracie back against the cage.
Gracie prevents a takedown attempt there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Prescott is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gracie is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Prescott to the mat. Prescott regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
