Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, R The ghost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fabricio Neguera!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neguera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The ghost is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Neguera is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Neguera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Neguera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Fabricio Neguera was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Neguera closes the distance and clinches up with The ghost, looking for a takedown. Neguera pushes The ghost against the cage but The ghost circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Neguera counters with a nice double leg into side control. The ghost won't be happy with that.

Neguera tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Neguera has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neguera throws a strike aimed at the side of The ghost's head but The ghost avoids it well.

Neguera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but The ghost is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neguera wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The ghost, who protects the arm well.

Neguera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neguera has control of The ghost's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The ghost regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Neguera is going oldschool here, as he tries to force The ghost to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so The ghost shrugs it off.

Neguera is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but The ghost is surviving well by controlling Neguera's body position as best he can.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. The ghost looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Neguera! Submission of the night perhaps?
