PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuki Noshikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm on a boat. The key to victory for Yuki Noshikawa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Noshikawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki King!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noshikawa lands a nice leg kick that just misses King's sensitive parts.
King is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Noshikawa.
Noshikawa connects with a single shot there.
Noshikawa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

King gets a takedown into half guard.
Noshikawa flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Noshikawa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Noshikawa.
King wants to control from the top but Noshikawa keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Noshikawa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

King seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
King postures up in Noshikawa's guard and throws a big left but Noshikawa blocks it.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
King manages to capitalize on a mistake by Noshikawa to take his back!

Noshikawa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

King bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

A close round but Aoki King will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Noshikawa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Noshikawa shoots in but King avoids the takedown attempt easily.
King looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noshikawa is fending him off so far but King persists. Nope, Noshikawa circles away and we're back to standing.

King throws a lazy right hand but Noshikawa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Noshikawa's corner calls for a 1-2. Noshikawa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
King misses with a body kick.
Noshikawa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Noshikawa throws a right and a left that both miss.
King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noshikawa's waist but Noshikawa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
Noshikawa lands with an overhand left.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
The crowd cheers as Noshikawa lands an impressive looking overhand right. King doesn't seem phased though.

King seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Noshikawa wants to control but King is keeping busy and won't allow it.
King winds up and cracks Noshikawa with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Noshikawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. King is working away from the top position though.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Yuki Noshikawa just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Noshikawa stalks King and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into King's face. King staggers backwards, shaken.

Noshikawa cracks King with a hook to the temple - King is on wobbly legs here! Noshikawa swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! King falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Noshikawa wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yuki Noshikawa!
