The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KwonDo plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bateman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and KwonDo counters with a stiff right hand.
Bateman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bateman keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Rex KwonDo has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bateman misses with a hook.
Bateman throws a body punch but KwonDo moves out of range.
KwonDo throws a head kick but Bateman moves out of range.
KwonDo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

KwonDo is looking to slow Bateman down with leg kicks.
KwonDo misses with a series of wild punches.
Bateman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

KwonDo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bateman at a distance.

KwonDo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

KwonDo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bateman's guard.

KwonDo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
KwonDo slips nicely into half guard.
