The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Tomba as he connects with a hook.

Karski clinches.
Tomba tries to circle away but Karski has him pinned against the cage.
Karski is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tomba is defending well.
Tomba has had enough of the clinch but Karski keeps him there for the moment.
Karski keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tomba's efforts to push away.
A nice left hand lands by Tomba.

Karski has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tomba is trying to keep an underhook but Karski manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Karski is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Tomba manages to get to full guard.
Karski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Tomba wants to get back to his feet but Karski passes into half guard.

Karski wants to work for an arm triangle but Tomba is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tomba is refusing to be controlled, as Karski sits in half guard.

Karski seems to be looking for submissions.
Karski prevents Tomba from standing back up.
Karski wants to take a breather but Tomba is having none of it.
Tomba looks like he's trying to stand up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We're going to have a standup here because Przemek Karski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tomba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tomba wants it to stay on the feet.
Tomba feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Karskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Przemek Karski has been cut.

Karski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karski wants to control but Tomba is keeping him busy.
Karski laying and praying for a moment but Tomba takes advantage and regains half guard.

Karski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tomba is just riding it out for now. Karski eventually gives up the hold.
